Sydney is famous in Australia and the world for producing some of the best Australian bands over the last few decades. It is a buzzing city in terms of music venues and bands and seven days a week great live music can be heard all over the city.

The Oxford Art Factory
A very mixed venue that could be an art gallery a nightclub, or a lively bar. All manner of artists play at the Art Factory from local Sydney bands to international well known artists.
There is a smaller bar attached to the main huge auditorium and randomly a second band can suddenly strike up to make a very mixed evening. This smaller bar has no entry cost and is a good place to just take a drink and relax on the comfy couches.
The Enmore
The Enmore is a delightful Art Deco theatre and the 1,600 venue has played host to a multitude of bands in its history. The lively mezzanine is a great place just to hang out and take a beer.
Expect to see the unexpected at the Enmore, from giant EDM dance gigs, to even stand up comedy. A really great alternative venue that is great to start an evening.
The Basement
Located in Circular Quay, the Basement is the perfect place for fans of funk and the blues. The Basement as it names suggests is a subterranean haven for music lovers, and the intimate and classy venue plays host to some great live music.
The Beach Road Hotel
Head down to Bondi Beach to visit a cracking venue called the Beach Road Hotel. It is a great place that has a little of something for everyone. And if you want to make a real evening of it there is even accommodation.
Saturday afternoon is a mecca for sports fans swilling beer and cheering their teams on, but at the same time you could chill outside at the back enjoying the sun. There is also a huge music venue where every manner of band can turn up, from EDM to Indie and everything in between.
Hordern Pavilion
If you really want a superb venue to see a band then head down to Moore Park and the Hordern Pavilion. The Hordern is for larger events and bands and has capacity for standing as well as seating.
The venue has perfect acoustics especially for big sound systems and is a great place to enjoy a gig with plenty of amenities.
