Sydney Opera House
The Sydney Opera House is one of the most famous and recognisable buildings in the world. There are two restaurants you can choose from both of which are circular and revolving ensuring you get a full 360-degree view of Sydney. The first is SkyFeast which is a buffet restaurant. If you prefer a la carte dining, then you can try Infinity at Sydney Tower. For a truly breathtaking experience go up a few levels from these restaurants to the Skywalk. It is a circular open-air platform around the Sydney Tower with a glass floor.
Sydney Harbour Bridge
No visit to Sydney would be complete without seeing the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. Visible from most of the surrounding Sydney Harbour, your experience will be enhanced if you get up close. One of the most popular things to do is to walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The main footpath of 1.5 km is free for all and will take between 15 and 30 minutes depending on your pace. For a nominal fee, you can climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge Pylon. It’s 200 steps to the top and offers great viewing. For the adventurous, you can experience a number of different options for climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The Rocks
The Rocks in Sydney is a popular tourist destination in the city centre. Early European settlers chose this spot to come ashore in 1788. Now, it is a bustling place with several markets and stalls where you can satisfy your hunger and maybe find that perfect unique gift. You can find the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia at The Rocks as well as the Argyle Gallery and The Rocks Discovery Museum. Some of the oldest pubs in Australia are found in The Rocks alongside more modern bars.
