Sydney Santa Spectacular
The biggest and one of the most loved Christmas festivals returns once again to Rosehill Gardens. The extravaganza takes place over three fun-filled weeks and is home to one of Australia’s largest portable ice-rinks.
This imported rink from Italy brings some winter festive cheer to proceedings while there is also a vintage carousel, live entertainment, a toboggan slide, and a wonderful Santa’s Enchanted Forest.
Along with all this, there will be reindeer riding, a Christmas cookie decorating school, face-painting, live carol singing and of course Santa himself.
Christmas Wonderland
Enjoy all the Christmas fun with your kids at the Sydney Showground. For two weeks Sydneysiders can take advantage of a winter playground covered with festive magic dust.
There will be an ice rink and plenty of snow to have a game of snowballs or build your very own snowman. There is plenty to see including a magical stage show and exploring Candy Lane and the Christmas Village.
Christmas Lights
Any Christmas Lights are a big attraction to young and old, and the Sydney Christmas Lights Spectacular is not to be missed. Hunter Valley Gardens plays host to this great event where on display is the biggest display of Christmas Lights in the entire Southern Hemisphere.
On show will be two million spectacular lights which feature an amazing princess castle. Of course, to satisfy the whole family there are also festive food and drink stalls, carol singers and carnival rides.
Christmas in the City
Sydney’s Christmas fun and games always kick off with the Christmas in the City event. Beginning in November, Martin Place comes alive with festive fun and games. Martin Place will be full of magicians, street entertainers, Christmas lights and decorations, choirs singing carols and just about anything related to Christmas.
Santa will make a personal appearance arriving in his sleigh, and the spectacular Martin Place Christmas Tree is fully lit for all to welcome in the festive season. Don’t be late as you will miss the spectacular fireworks.
Carols in the Domain
This is one of the biggest and best free carol concerts in Australia. Carols in the Domain is a Christmas tradition in Sydney and signals to everybody that the holiday season has well and truly arrived. As well as the communal singing there will be plenty of well-known artists performing to keep the whole family entertained.
