Events in Sydney

The start of a new year in Sydney always brings great expectations of what events are coming up. Sydney Connections decided to feature the best musical events that are taking place in Sydney during February 2019.

Our list is by no means exhaustive of all the details of the gigs that are coming up, but it does feature some of the main acts due to play live in the coming month or so.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Qudos Bank Arena – 19th – 20 Feb

One of the great live bands of all time comes back to play in Sydney after a break of six years.

Still going strong after thirty years, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are one of the best-selling bands of all time. They even have seven Grammys to highlight just how popular they actually are.

The band made their energetic live performances famous in the 80’s and 90’s and they have never taken their foot off the pedal ever since. They are one of the greatest ever bands to perform live and the two nights at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney should be classics.

Eminem

ANZ Stadium – 22nd Feb

The iconic White Rapper Eminem who hails from America is set for a visit to the ANZ Stadium on the 22nd February. For those who have never seen the controversial rapper live then expect a lively show.

Eminem is a spontaneous artist who explodes during his live performances and sets his audiences on fire. His songs have been with us it seems like forever, and have been ever-present in the charts for decades.

Remember classic songs such as, Lose Yourself, Stan, Not Afraid, Without Me, The Real Slim Shady, and Rap God. It does not really matter if rap music is not your thing, this concert will entertain young and old alike.

Maroon 5

Qudos Bank Arena – 21st Feb

One of the most famous American pop bands of recent times has to be Maroon 5, and their four-date Australian tour takes in Sydney Qudos Bank Arena on the 21st of February.

The band were formed in California by high school friends, Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden, and Ryan Dusick. Together the band have released chart-topping albums and singles all over the world.

The concert will feature some of their best-known material including, Harder to Breathe, Makes me Wonder, Moves Like Jagger and She Will be Loved. The song Move Like Jagger sold an incredible fifteen million copies which makes it one of the best selling singles of all time.

The band cite influences from artists such as Prince and Michael Jackson, and with such credible inspiration to drive them forward Maroon 5 have gone from strength to strength.
